France - Chambreteau, La Rochelle, Bordeaux to Biscarrosse

Bordeaux has a number of churches that dominate the skyline in this old part of the city. St Andre Cathedral is very large with numerous spires and if you look closely you will be amazed at the intricate stonework and statues around arches, pillars, doors, windows... everywhere... To the right of the photo is the Bell Tower which is, unusually, separate from the cathedral. There is an amazing golden statue at its top.
